Disampaikan Kasat Reskrim Polresta Sidoarjo Kompol Agus Sobarna Praja, S.H, S.I.K, M.H dalam Pengungkapan Kasus Penipuan Perjalanan Ibadah Umrah di Wilayah Hukum Polresta Sidoarjo ini bermula dari adanya laporan Masyarakat atau Korban.

Pelaku yang diamankan, yakni M.A.A.U, Lelaki 30 Tahun, dari salah satu Travel yang tidak memiliki ijin sebagai Penyelenggara Perjalanan Ibadah Umrah (PPIU) telah bertindak melakukan Pengumpulan Jamaah Umrah.
Kemudian Tersangka mengambil Setoran Jamaah Umrah, selanjutnya diberangkatkan dengan cara Dititipkan kepada pihak PPIU resmi.
Seperti yang dilaporkan oleh Korban Penipuan T.H.R, 40 Tahun, Warga Sidodadi, Taman, Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur.
Berawal pada bulan Maret Tahun 2022, Tersangka telah menawarkan kepada Korban Perjalanan Ibadah Umrah dengan Biaya sebesar Rp. 40.000.000,- per – orang.
Dengan Fasilitas mengunakan Pesawat Qatar Airlines, Hotel dengan fasilitas Tower dan Sofa, baik di Makah maupun di Madinah.
“Atas Penawaran tersebut, Korban Tertarik dan Sepakat, kemudian melakukan Pembayaran yang disepakati melalui Transfer ke Rekening Tersangka sebanyak Rp.153.000.000,- Juta, untuk Empat Orang Jamaah, juga termasuk Keluarga Korban,” ungkap Kompol Agus Sobarna Praja, S.H, S.I.K, M.H, pada hari Kamis (1/8/2024).
Adapun pada bulan April 2022 Korban jadi berangkat melaksanakan Perjalanan Ibadah Umrah tanpa didahului dengan Manasik Haji.
Namun ternyata adanya Fasilitas yang didapatkan tidak sesuai dengan yang Diperjanjikan, baik terkait Maskapai Penerbangan ataupun Fasilitas tempat Hotel Menginap.
“Sehingga Korban merasa Dirugikan, karena terpaksa harus mengeluarkan Uang Pribadi lagi untuk mendapatkan Fasilitas yang diinginkannya tersebut,” tambah Kompol Agus Sobarna Praja, S.H, S.I.K, M.H.
Sepulangnya dari Perjalanan Ibadah Umrah tersebut, Korban mendapatkan informasi, bahwa ternyata dirinya telah diberangkatkan Ibadah Umrah melalui Tersangka dengan cara Dititipkan kepada salah satu PPIU resmi.
Atas kejadian itu, Korban melaporkan kejadian tersebut ke Polda Jawa Timur dan selanjutnya laporannya dilimpahkan Penanganan Perkaranya di Polresta Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur.
“Setelah itu, anggota kami telah melakukan kegiatan Penyidikan, dengan melakukan Pemeriksaan Ahli dari Kanwil Kementerian Agama Propinsi Jawa Timur, selanjutnya menetapkan M.A.A.U. sebagai Tersangka,” tutur Kompol Agus Sobarna Praja, S.H, S.I.K, M.H.
Bahkan menurut Kompol Agus Sobarna Praja, S.H, S.I.K, M.H mengatakan, bahwa Tersangka tercatat dalam Daftar Pencarian Orang (DPO) pada 7 Agustus 2023, selanjutnya pada 28 Juli 2024 Tersangka berhasil Ditangkap di Wilayah Krian, Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur.
Hasil Pemeriksaan terhadap Tersangka M.A.A.U, bahwa dirinya mengakui tidak memiliki ijin PPIU tersebut.
Tersangka M.A.A.U telah menerima Pembayaran Uang Calon Jamaah Umrah, dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan keuntungan dari selisih yang Dibayarkan oleh Jamaah kepada Tersangka dengan yang Dibayarkan kepada PPIU resmi yang ditunjuknya.

Kedua laporan ke Polres Madiun Kota pada 27 Mei 2024 melalui Kuota Haji Khusus, namun juga Gagal Berangkat yang dialami Empat Orang senilai Rp. 865.500.000 Juta,” urai Kompol Agus Sobarna Praja, S.H, S.I.K, M.H.
