Harapan dan ide besar DPC Gerindra merangkul seluruh jurnalis Kabupaten Sidoarjo patut diapresiasi. Jelang lebaran para pewarta berkumpul dalam suasana hangat penuh kebersamaan pada acara silaturahmi dan buber.
Puluhan insan pers Kabupaten Sidoarjo dengan Ketua Dewan Penasihat DPC Gerindra Sidoarjo H. Rahmat Muhajirin SH, MHum bersama sang istri, Wakil Bupati Sidoarjo, Hj Mimik Idayana 27 Maret 2025 diPutragama Cafe dan resto kawasan alun-alun Sidoarjo dan berjalan dengan lancar.
H. Rahmat Muhajirin SH, MHum pada para jurnalis dari berbagai organisasi, seperti Forum Wartawan Sidoarjo (Forwas), Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI), Aliansi Jurnalis Sidoarjo (AJS), Ikatan Jurnalis Televisi Indonesian (IJTI) dan Jurnalis Online Siber Sidoarjo (JOSS) menyampaikan “pentingnya pers sebagai pilar keempat demokrasi yang berperan aktif dalam mengawasi kebijakan pemerintah”.
“Media memiliki peran besar dalam pembangunan Sidoarjo. Jika ada kebijakan yang kurang tepat, sampaikanlah dengan objektif dan berimbang, bukan fitnah atau hoaks. Fungsi kontrol sosial dan mitra strategis dalam membangun Sidoarjo jauh lebih baik”, paparnya (27/3/2025).
Masih menurut Muhajirin “Kedepan Sidoarjo masuk agenda prioritas, khususnya rencana besar akan dibangunnya Sekolah Rakyat di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Akan membutuhkan lahan seluas enam hektare sebagai bagian dari program pendidikan inklusif tersebut, sementara pemerintah pusat akan menangani pembangunannya”, imbuhnya.
“Sekolah Rakyat tentu pendidikan full gratis dengan berkualitas bisa diakses oleh anak-anak dari keluarga kurang mampu. Program ini diharapkan dapat memutus rantai bagi rakyat yang tidak mampu serta mendorong masyarakat untuk hidup lebih maju,” ujarnya.
Sementara Wabup Sidoarjo Hj Mimik Idayana menambahkan “Pemerintah Kabupaten Sidoarjo bukan melarang kegiatan ODL di luar kota, ini menjawab banyaknya pertanyaan dari masyarakat terkait ODL. Kegiatan ODL difokuskan dalam lingkungan Sidoarjo, karena disini banyak lokasi yang bisa dimanfaatkan untuk ODL, seperti situs Candi, tempat wisata di Jabon tentu dikemas dengan nilai-nilai luhur dan sejarah dari Kabupaten Sidoarjo”, ujar Hj Mimik Idayana (27/3/2025).
